Catching the Wave: Microsoft Cited As A Collaboration Leader

If you have been a faithful reader of our latest blog posts, you may be catching our drift – Microsoft Office 365 has put the tech giant squarely on the map when it comes to enterprise collaboration.

If there was ever any doubt of Microsoft’s return to the Enterprise mantle, one of the world’s most influential research firms has reaffirmed it.

Forrester has tabbed Microsoft as a leader in its 2016 Enterprise Collaboration Wave report – a showcase of the world’s most effective providers for workplace collaboration. Ranked by several factors – market presence, strategy and strength of current offering – Microsoft even outclassed some perennial favorites like IBM, Salesforce, SAP, VMware and Atlassian.

Leading Microsoft’s charge to the top, according to Forrester, is its recent emphasis on enterprise-wide knowledge sharing tools, particularly Yammer – Microsoft’s social network for work, bundled within Office 365. Of late, Yammer has been more deeply integrated into Office 365, and will soon integrate with Office 365 Groups, making it easier for Yammer users to file-share across team sites.
