Part 1: Embedding Content Pack in Web Page

The Microsoft Dynamics CRM content packs for Power BI allow you to easily visualize data in your Dynamics CRM Online or on-premises tenant. The Sales Manager content pack focuses on sales related CRM entities such as Leads, Opportunities, Accounts etc. and analyzes sales performance through key metrics like Won and Lost Revenue, Sales Leaders, and Top Accounts. Similarly the Service Manager content pack includes data from service CRM entities such as Cases, Queues, and Knowledge Articles. You can deploy the content packs in Power BI service to show data from your Dynamics CRM online or on premises tenant, and customize the content packs to display custom fields or option set values you may have added to the CRM entities as part of your deployment. Updating Azure dirsync tool to Azure Active Directory Sync Service (WAAD Sync)

Microsoft had released the initial dirsync tool to synchronize on premise AD user to office 365 and till recently, they updated the tool to support password synchronization. However in Feb 2015, Microsoft has released a completely different service – Microsoft Azure Active Directory Sync Services (AADSync). Azure Active Directory Sync allows you to onboard to Azure Active Directory and Office 365 with a single forest or multi forest on-prem Active Directory.

Exchange Cut-Over Migration to Office 365

Overview: 

An organization can migrate a maximum of 1,000 Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007, or Exchange 2010 mailboxes to the cloud using a cutover Exchange migration. To migrate more than 1,000 Exchange 2003 or Exchange 2007 mailboxes, you can perform a staged Exchange migration. You can’t migrate Exchange 2010 mailboxes using a staged Exchange migration. Active Directory Filtering for Office 365 Directory Synchronisation (Dirsync)

In my last article of this series –http://www.netwoven.com/2014/09/25/moving-from-on-premise-to-office-365-windows-azure-part-3/ I discussed way to move your dirsync to a different subscription. In this article I will show how we can refine the contents that we need to sync up to Azure AD.

Overview:

Any office 365 subscription synced up to on-premise Active Directory will actually sync all users in the initial default configuration of dirsync tool. However in most cases, you would not like to see some accounts like service accounts, test accounts to appear in Windows Azure AD simply because they may me exclusively required for on-premise deployment of various products and their configurations.
