The San Francisco & Boston Netwoven offices have placed a wager on who will win the NBA Finals. Will it be the Celtics or the Warriors?

Behind closed doors at Netwoven, we have some fun. Being a remote workforce means we hang out in Teams quite often and enjoy some light-hearted humor and wagers. Our culture is rich with passionate people who love to laugh, crack jokes, and make silly side bets involving seafood. So, it comes as no surprise that Matthew Maher (Technical Director) in our Boston office sent a challenge to Walt De Petris (COO) in our San Francisco office wagering five pounds of lobster from the East Coast if his mighty Celtics win the championship. But Walt rebutted, with what can only be described as pure lunacy as he doubled down on his confidence, wagering a match of five pounds of Dungeness Crab AND a bottle of wine if the Warriors win.

Matt put this bold statement in our Teams chat on why he thinks the Celtics will win and his prediction on the final game.

Celtics go the distance and win in a tight Game 7
The up-and-coming Celtics are young, but don't let that fool you. These Celtics play like veterans and have more NBA playoff starts under their belt than most of the teams in the East. We also have that hustle, desire, and passion every coach wants in their team. Diving for loose balls, never taking a playoff, and most importantly the desire to win. They were the hottest team since the all-star break and took care of the #1 and #3 teams in the east to get the championship. Go Celtics go!

P.S. Call me when the Warriors win 11 out of 13 championships like the Celtics did in the 60, one of which was over the San Francisco Warriors.

It didn’t take long for Walt to come up with his own prediction and reasons why the Warriors will take the championship.

Warrior win in 6 games
Warriors are going to win the 2022 NBA Title because they have appeared in six of the last eight NBA Finals and collected three championships with the Stephen Curry-Klay Thompson-Draymond Green core. Golden State has reclaimed its championship mojo, a renaissance that will continue in a hard-fought series that will see Steph Curry & Co. claim a fourth championship. Yes, the Celtics have a world-class defense, but the Warriors have the answers in Steph, Klay, Poole, and Wiggins -- players who will fire an offense that will find its way through, and over, Boston. Throw in a Golden State defense that was the regular season's best, and the most impressive championship in Warrior’s history is just a few weeks away.

We’re weeks away from finding out who will win this bet. Stay tuned for part II of this rivalry after the finals are done.

We know that homelessness is a complex, nation-wide crisis and one that cannot be easily solved. But our goal at Netwoven for now is to address the immediate suffering of men, women and children living on the streets and to offer a small degree of comfort. It is our belief that this gesture of assistance can give our homeless population more than just help!

We were able to collect over 200 of each of these items — blankets, scarfs, gloves and beanies. These donations were immediately used by the people currently calling Bay Area Rescue Mission as their home!

Bridging the Distance and spreading Music & Happiness !!

With the current state of unforeseen Lockdowns and Social distancing, the need for virtual connects have gone all time high. Netwoven conducted a virtual gathering “Coffee Break with some Music” for our Team. Music is the food for the soul which triggers our feelings and expresses all the shades of our life.

In the midst of project deliveries, weekly meetings & tight deadlines, our team members came forward and created a beautiful evening full of music, songs, dance and recitations. The flow of enthusiasm and excitement was clearly visible among the team members throughout the evening over the flow of unstoppable comments in the call bridge.

It was really a beautiful evening and we hope to arrange many such events in the future to create more beautiful memories for all of us.

Netwoven had its Kickoff meeting in Jan. A very productive day with many fun discussions, team games and debates.

Our team mantra was -- "Berry Good Berry Good YAAAAY" .

But after a vigorous day, we had to wrap it up with a fun evening. This was our informal 2019 holiday party. We met at Campo Di Bocce in Livermore, families joined us and turned it into a beautiful evening filled with bocce ball, laughter, and LOTS OF PASTA.

Our winters are always high with events and this Winter is no different! And there is nothing like a good sport event to encourage sportsmanship and friendly competition.

We hosted a team building In-house Intra office Table Tennis Tournament.

The goal of the event was getting everyone working together as a team with lots of fun added in too. Our TT Tournament Day kept everyone engaged and excited for the day. Each team member got a chance to compete against each other.

Waves of support and encouragement ran across the floor. May the best players and teams WIN!! An intense game of table tennis stimulates mental alertness and concentration and develops mental acuity.

Our team spirits were at an all-time high after this event, everybody had a blast!

Exhilarated to share insights from Netwoven Offshore Kick Off Meet 2020!!

Netwoven has conducted the Offshore Kick Off Meet 2020 in the month of February for both Kolkata and Bangalore team. Bangalore team joined the Kolkata team at Townhall, Kolkata. The full-day event consists of Inspirational speeches, tech-talks, employee awards and take-aways. The over-whelming crowd had a day filled with interactions on the day-to-day business challenges, technical deep dive for Business Solutions and sharing experiences.

The Summit highlighted the latest concepts on Content & Collaborations, Cloud Infrastructure, Business Applications, Marketing and more; how to harness the talent pool, data and other resources to deliver exponential value and customer satisfaction. Occasional moments of sharing joy & laughter added fuel to the unmatched enthusiasm of the team.

It was great participation from the team members & the contributions making it an eventful day to remember!!

While juggling your time between the 25 tabs on your computer screen and the weekly meetings, a Team Outing is definitely something to look forward to. Here at Netwoven, we place a high value on balancing work and individual life.

Life at Netwoven is incomplete without a little mix of fun and adventure activities.

Our team(Bangalore & Kolkata) got a chance to experience the same when the team set off for the Day Outing. Fun and frolic are never far behind when you have a group of enthusiastic folks by your side.

The laughter, the games and the fun during the entire day is something which they will cherish forever. Because at the end of the day it is not just the place but also the team bonding activities that makes any Team Outing a success.

The focus is on Rejuvenating and letting the potential to Shine, and the positive energies to blend. It gives us all a chance to let Loose, have Fun, only to bounce back with a new Vigor and bag of Ideas.

2019 Fall picnic was hosted by The Bais’. They welcomed the team graciously by setting up some fun games, delicious Indian meal and of course foot stomping Bollywood music.

We played musical chairs, creative number game and balloon pop, danced to the Bollywood music non stop and tried all the yummy foods!

Indeed a beautiful setting and a memorable evening.
